Locations:

Gading Serpong, Tangerang-Banten - 1 hour from Jakarta

The Position:

Full-time 1 year contract, teaching 27 hours per week
Class size is limited to 16, but on average 10
Students range from pre-school students to adults, beginner to advanced learners

Package:

11,000,000 - 14,000,000 IDR
5 day work week

Paid holidays - 12 paid annual leave days plus 19 national holidays in 2017
Airfare contribution - up to US$500

We require:

Passport holder: UK/USA/CAN/AUS/NZ
Passport must be valid for more than 18 months
Bachelor's Degree
A recognized EFL qualification - TEFL/CELTA/TESOL
Teaching experience preferred but not essential
Are outgoing, enthusiastic, positive, sociable, hard-working, patient and professional
Are looking for a challenge and enjoy working with young learners

Cost of living:

$1 = 12,150 Indonesian Rupiah
Monthly Salary: 6 - 15 Million IDR
Private Tutoring per hour: 100,000 to 250,000 IDR
Accommodation: Many Schools include accommodation
Airfare: Many schools will offer an airfare
Teaching Hours: 15 - 25 hours per week
Holidays: Paid
Contract Length: 1 Year
Inexpensive Meal: 25,000 IDR
Coffee: 20,000 IDR

Amazing value for the price. A lot of people spend a ton more for exactly the same content. (Minus the brick and mortar experience with real teachers) I recommend this for everyone who wants to travel abroad. Teaching in a foreign country allows you to immerse yourself in the culture. It is a much better experience than simply traveling as a tourist. Best of luck.

This is a serious class. If you're looking for an online class that you think you can kind of blow off this is definitely not the one. Everything is very organized, clear, and concise. It is also very detailed. This is a class you have to work on every single day. You cannot miss days. You will definitely learn a lot in this class.

What is TEFL or TESOL?

TEFL stands for Teaching English as a Foreign Language and TESOL stands for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. Both the TEFL Fullcircle 120 Hour and 160 Hour Courses will give you an Internationally Accredited Teaching Certificate, which will enable you to access 1000’s of jobs worldwide. TEFL is normally associated with the UK and TESOL is recognised in the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. They both mean the same thing.

Who can take the TEFL courses?

Most individuals who take the TEFL Course are native English speakers but if your first language is not English then we recommend that you have the Cambridge Advanced English (CAE) Qualification or equivalent in your country.
